Meetup Hosts!
Apply To Be A Meetup Host!
Job Description
SUMMARY
The Meetup Host nurtures a small group of young adults ages 18-30 for regular conversations based on Motor City Wesley “Meetups” guides and other relevant content. The goal is for Hosts to gather their social networks around our original faith-based content to mobilize people for justice and equity work. Hosts are recruited for their connections with young adult and campus communities across Metro Detroit. We are focused on organizing small groups around the campuses of Wayne State, Oakland University and the University of Michigan - Dearborn and integrating with the young adult groups at nearby partner churches. Each Host can tailor their gatherings to the particular interests and style of their group. These may include:
Hosting a watch party for our event livestreams.
Gathering friends in-person for our “Rated-R Bible Study” conversations.
Launching a book club on Geez Magazine or Sojourners Magazine or similar publications.
